Jesus Bermudez was born in the border town of Douglas, Arizona, and has lived in various parts of the state, but he was raised for the most part of his childhood in the neighboring town of Agua Prieta in Sonora, Mexico.
From a young age Jesus attended schools in both countries and was involved in community politics due to his family’s background in law enforcement. Jesus joined Mi Familia Vota in 2021 as a canvasser and transitioned to be a Canvas Lead in 2022.
Recently he became a Civic Engagement Organizer, focusing on Environmental Justice & Advocacy for MFV in Tucson, Arizona. Jesus is very happy and grateful for this opportunity that will help him bring change for the people. He has the aspiration of running for State Senate in the future. Jesus knows his work with MFV will help construct a path towards that goal. The biggest motivators and blessings in this universe are his daughter Emily and niece Emma.
