Ángel Luis Vega is the Texas Field Director for Mi Familia Vota. Ángel was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Inter-American University and a Master’s in Management & Leadership from Webster University. He brings over 20 years in the workforce, in the private sector, with non-profits, and as a small business owner. In 2013, Ángel published his first book about professional development.
Ángel is passionate about serving others, advocating for and empowering our communities. He has served on the Young Leaders for Inclusion Council, the Advisory Board of Prospera USA, and the Board of Directors of the International Hispanic Art and Culture Association.
Ángel Luis brings substantial experience with grassroots organizations, program development, political campaigns, GOTV, voter registration, organizing, strategy, operations, and leading successful teams. Ángel also had the opportunity to volunteer and avid organizer for political campaigns in Florida, California, Texas, and Puerto Rico, from gubernatorial, congressional to Obama’s presidential campaign. He joined Mi Familia Vota in 2020 as Texas Deputy Field Director for Mi Familia Vota. In 2021, Vega ran for statewide office in Texas.
Ángel Luis and his wife Ideneth live in the Houston area with their children, Victoria and Matthew. He enjoys being with the family, traveling, scuba-diving, cycling, running, reading, and writing.
