Michael Ruiz joined Mi Familia vota in July 2022 as the Communications Manager. Michael obtained his bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State University in 2017. He later moved to California to start his career as a bilingual news reporter for Univision and Telemundo.
For more than five years he reported on various issues that affected the LatinX community such as immigration and environmental justice.The experiences obtained through his media career has prepared him for the work with MFV.
Michael is committed to building Latino progresive political power in Arizona. He strives to provide the community with information and the tools necessary to be civically engaged.
